How low are you looking to go? Read in the suspension section of this site for hours until you are confident lots of people here willing to help you but you seem to have very minimal knowledge so research is your friend.

Air bags are just a fad like hydraulics were in the 90's don't do it unless you like being stuck on the side of the road ...

Or lowering your pickup, or fuel injection, or HEI ignitions, or overdrive transmissions

Disagree 100% In a lot of ways air ride is far superior to steel spring.
Adjustable ride height, better ride and the ability to haul loads.
you can't static drop a pickup and haul anything in the bed without air bags.
Ever see a Kenworth? It's on bags

Re: I want to customize my chassis for airbags

With no information about you or your truck and the "plan". We have a hard time directing you. Long bed, short bed? coil spring, leaf spring? already lowered, completely stock? Budget? Abilities? Are you looking for adjustable ride or do you want to set the frame on the tarmac? There must be at least fifty ways to leave your truck lower. If your not sure then cruise over to the build section and start reading. There is plenty of information there. How to's and what not to's and everything in between. This place a rare mix of stock to highly modified.

Re: I want to customize my chassis for airbags

As someone mentioned, go to the suspension section and start reading. Also, while in the suspension section, at the top is the “Vendors Marketplace” I think it’s called. Have a look at the vendors and the products they offer to get an idea of what you’re getting yourself into.

To get the body on the ground requires significant changes, particularly up front. The front crossmember will hit the ground before the body does so you’ll have to modify or replace it. Pretty sure the stock front inner fenders have to go unless you run really small wheels and tires that look really funny. That’s just the start and stuff I remember off the top of my head

Re: I want to customize my chassis for airbags

Whats your budget? What part of the truck do you want touching the floor? The frame rails, pinch weld under the doors, etc. We'll be glad to help but it's a lot of work and you'll get ten different ways to do it. Id suggest just figuring out about how much you want to spend and go from there. Are you going to be doing the work yourself or hiring it done? That may impact your budget too.

Why not just a big static drop? ( no bags, just a low spring drop?)
