Re: van tilt question

IIRC, it's up to '82. Someone will correct that if I'm wrong. Just find one that does not have the ignition switch in the column and you're good to go.
Thank you for your service to our country.

Re: van tilt question

Thank you for your service to our country, it is great men like you that lets us tinker on these old trucks and travel and do many other thing we take for granted every day. The van tilt is up to 81 and the 82 up to like 89 or maybe a little later has a slick little side marker that fits our trucks and is flush looking and is ten times cleaner than the factory ones. I even use the Torx head screw in the markers they look so much cleaner. Now back to the tilt, Motor homes carry a tilt that look more closely like a truck tilt than the van tilt does and in can be found in motor homes through the 85 model I know of I bought an 85 with a 454 T400 and a tilt that would pass as a truck tilt. There are only slight differences in the way the shifter arm sets and the NSS bolt on in a little different location but very similar. Jim

'81 and below are similar but have a longer shaft. '82 and up have keys on the column. You'll need to modify the van tilt by shortening the intermediate shaft. Check this LINK out for your install. Good luck!

Re: van tilt question

Thank you guys! And thanks Jim, didnt find a motorhome, but I didnt find an 81 and 84. So I guess either one is good. I guess my shifter arm would fit these columns so it looked right. What about the harness? Im guessing mine in the truck would work?
