I am getting ready to order my suspension parts and need some input. Should I go Moog or TRW? Thanks, Terry

ive always used moog never trw but that was because i found them first and have yet to have any probelms with em so i stuck with what worked

Most will say Moog. I've used both with problems from either. I would not buy any other brand though.

moog all the way but moog makes a lot of other companies stuff. falconer is made by moog as well as a few others and they are cheaper for the same exact part just in a different box

napa and carquest suspension parts are moog,just boxed with there companys name on the box.moog also make many parts for oems,and works with the big three.i just had a moog rep at my shop 2 weeks ago.trw is good also.
I also as of late have been useing acdelco,there ball joints are the cats ass,no preassembly outta the box and in they go,and priced about the same as moog.

I bought every part except steering for my 72 C20 front end a few years ago and used all Moog. Did it in the driveway. No problems then or since. Haven't used TRW. Another truck guy I trust suggested Moog as lowest risk, best quality. He'd had bad luck with other parts that cost less, particularly ball joints that went bad way sooner than they should have. I bought all my stuff from expressautoparts.com back then because it saved me about 35-40% over best prices I could find locally. I still have all the Moog part numbers I used if you need them.

moog for me wore out WAY too quickly - now I'm strictly a DANA-Spicer kinda guy now - IF I can find a dealer (they're tough to find)

P.S. I spent four winters in Syracuse at S.U. Don't remember where your town is but I didn't get out of town a lot going to school there. Sending northern California sunshine (when we get some). Can't say I miss clearing what I remember as 160 average inches of snow but I really miss driving in it. Now that was fun! I'm serious! Enjoy your trucks.

Moog is far superior to TRW. I can't remember why though (been out of the auto parts biz for 9 years now.) Something about plastic somethings in the TRW parts. I just know that when the warehouse I worked at switched toMoog from TRW we had alot less of the Moog coming back on warrenty.

I've used both in the past. Seems like there is always a cotterpin or nut missing when you pull them out of the box. As far as which brand is superior....You got me. I always sell the vehicle before they have a chance to get worn out.

....my dad had a TRW tie rod end fall off, 3 weeks after we checked out the whole front end.. luckily he never hit the brakes until he was completly stopped...could have been one bad one in a million but used moog ever since

Just bought all four Moog Balljoints for the Blazer. Have had really good luck with them before too. Never used TRW before though. Moog seem to be bigger and they're made in the U.S.

I have seen listings that say Moog makes Carquest but they make them to a different spec. In the pic there is a Moog tie rod and a Carquest tie rod. The Moog has the larger bearing head. As for TRW they make a good part but Moog parkerizes there parts which seem to make them last longer.
