GMC stepper tailgate
Can anyone tell me what year tailgates will fit a 72 GMC stepside bed. I heard 63-83 is that right or will more fit?

Actually, 54-87 may all be the same. I know they are in Chevy tailgates, but I'm not sure if the letters will be the same in all the GMC's. I'm pretty sure they are though.

I have a brand new GMC stepper tailgate. I was told it is NOS. It will fit a 67-72 sterside body. Here are some pics. It has red rimer on it but it will come off wit some laquer thinner. Pm me if your interested.

The letters changed to block-type in`63 from the style where the "M" had feet that extended under the "G" and "C".The fit of the gates was the same from 55 1st Design thru`87.
