Coley's Custom Rally Caps

Hi Folks -

I have had a LOT of people on the forums asking about getting a set of my custom rally caps. Seeing that I am unemployed right now, I figured I could help a few members out plus maybe raise a few dollars to help with the bills.

My modifications can only be made to the Rally Wheel cap as shown in the photo at the bottom. I haven't tried to modify any other versions.

Here are the center cap options that I have made available:

OPTION 1:
YOU FURNISH (sent to my address) YOUR Rally wheel caps (GMC or Bowties, 5 lug or 6 lug).

I will clean, polish and repaint the base in Argent Silver, or leave the base chome... your call. The nicer your centers, the nicer they will turn out.
I will then modify your caps by adding brand new metal (not cheapo plastic) Chevrolet Bow Tie center as used on 1967 Camaro flat caps. The centers will be securely attached and fit flush with the cap. You will recieve two caps for the front (different because of dust cover clearance) and two caps for the rear. The caps will be marked as FRONT or REAR.
TOTAL COST FOR 4: $125 shipped to your door.
EXPECTED TURNAROUND: 1 Week
PAYMENT: Paypal, Money Order or Certified Check Included in the box with your Caps.
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED!

OPTION 2:
I furnish nice, driver quality Rally wheel caps in either 5 lug or 6 lug versions.

I will clean, polish and repaint the base in Argent Silver, or leave the base chrome... your call.
I will then modify my caps by adding brand new metal (not cheapo plastic) Chevrolet Bow Tie center as used on 1967 Camaro flat caps. The centers will be securely attached and fit flush with the caps. You will recieve two caps for the front (different because of dust cover clearance) and two caps for the rear. The caps will be marked as FRONT or REAR.
Price DOES NOT include screws to attach the caps to your wheels.
TOTAL COST FOR 4: $175 shipped to your door.
EXPECTED TURNAROUND: 1 Week (maybe more if I deplete my stock of Rally Caps quickly and have to locate more).
PAYMENT: Paypal
SATISFACTION GUARANTEED!

If you want to order a set of the "Coley Custom Caps", please respond here. I think the prices are fair so they are FIRM. If you have questions, just let me know.

Thanks!

Wayne, this might be a silly question, but do you have a picture of these in 6 lug? Very interested in a chrome base set. Thanks!

Omidified -
I don't have a picture of the 6 lugs, and I don't have a set put together right now. I will try to get one on here as soon as I can.

Thanks for checking.

Re: Coley's Custom Rally Caps

Anyone interested can take a look at my build thread, if you want to see them on a truck. These are slick guys .. I sold the set I had to go with 20" wheels but these are really a neat twist on the truck rallys.

No Neck is my dad (for those who don't know us) We both have C10s.

Question, are these caps shorter than the truck caps after the conversion.

Re: Coley's Custom Rally Caps

PT's 70 CST -

I have attached a photo showing how they look on the wheel, plus one showing the length. The modified cap is on the LEFT, while the stock cap is on the RIGHT.

As you can see in the photo, they are actually about 1/4" longer than the original cap. The front caps have an extra modification for dust cap clearance, but they are the same length as the rears.

I can build them by just adding the Camaro center to standard length caps, but the center doesn't fit flush to base. I think they are too long done this way, but it can be done.

Thanks for asking. Let me know how many sets you need.

Have a great weekend!

Re: Coley's Custom Rally Caps

99-LS1-SS - Great to hear you like the caps. I appreciate you working with my son Chad on the logistics.

Ricks1971 - I will try to get together something for you to see in a 6 Lug next week. Thanks for your interest.

Re: Coley's Custom Rally Caps

Hi Rick -

All the caps that I have modified to date are the metal 1973-1987 versions.

I haven't tried modifying the plastic caps, and don't have any to experiment with. I would think they would work fine as long as the metal Camaro centers are used.

If you are interested I would be glad to give it a try.

Thanks for your interest.

Re: Coley's Custom Rally Caps

Dad and I are experimenting with some older 6 lug caps. The problem right now is the 6 lug cap being 6x5.5 and the 5 lug 5x5 the outer diameter of the top of the cap is larger. The flat rally style cap ID is super close to the same OD on the top of the 5 lug cap, but it looks like 6 lug will be too big (if that makes sense). Dad is still testing with it but it looks like the custom caps will only work for 5 lug. Put the two side by side and the top part of the cap is noticably larger.

Kris, I can't do GMC labeled caps because the centers that I used are Chevy only (from a 1967 Camaro flat Rally cap). I have used GMC centers, but added the Chevy to make it Chevy.

MisterC, the 6 lug cap is a larger diameter than the 5 lug. The Camaro centers don't fit the cap at all. I am still experimenting with a new and different look for you 6 luggers. I will let you know how it works out.

Thanks guys for asking.

I'll txt Dad to let him know. I don't think he has any more 5 lug caps, I have a good set on my 69 now that might be available if needed though. Do you need 5 or 6 lug Rick?
