Engine Identification Help
Hi folks, I posted a thread yesterday on help identifying my engine and you guys told me to get the number...I couldnt find the thread again, but here's the number. it's right behind the valve cover on the driver side.. hope this helps....can anyone tell me what kind of motor I have by this number?

That is a casting# meaning that was the block # which was one of several that were used to denote a small block v-8. That number was used from the mid 60's through early 80's. to find out what you really have youneed to look on the front of the motor on passenger side. Below the head you will see a small flat area called the pad. On it will be a couple of letters. they will tell you specific egine type. and letters will tell you the date

There were also these numbers right by the waterpump in the front of the motor on the passenger side... it had this number in real small letters...
11W340877 and it had these numbers right next to it in bigger letters.. V07O7CCC |
