Can u guys help me out with these numbers I don't know what they are or what they mean, is the frame a 79 ? When I bought the frame it came off a 68 Swb well that's what I was told by the guy

i would guess a part # maybe it is a 79 frame gm has a 7 digit part# most of the time

my bad... i misread the post. I thought you said the 68 burb was on a 79 frame. Please disregard

Nah it can't b a 73-87 frame cuz when I bolted up my 73 front end I had 2 redrill the other holes 2 line up right, well sorry guys 4 the Confusion just wanted 2 see what those numbers meant

I have those same type of numbers on my frame. 1967 2wd frame, and the last part ends in -99. Definately not a '99 frame! I'll get the exact numbers later. Must be a part # or plan #.

These are on my driver's side framerail, just behind the forward cab mount. I'm very sure that 2-23-99 is not the date, since the frame is a 1967. Might be a line code, and maybe the other is a part number. My best guess anyway.

Genarally, a 7 digit part number that starts with 38 would be around 67-68 vintage, and a 7 digit number that starts with 39 would be 69-72 vintage. Not sure if that holds true on frames however...
I think duncan and son are up on these...

On that one, 7 is the last digit of the year, (1967), S is the manufacturing plant, and the last 6 are the vin serial number, the same as the last 6 of the title, or if the original cab is in place.
