'72 inner grille

I have an inner grille that is in great shape, but some of mounts to the outer grille have cracked. Any suggestions on to the best method to glue these pieces back together? Thanks, Joe Bob.

Ive used J. B. Weld.. It works great! Then you just repaint the grill with light grey primer.... Been there, done that.

I make metal angles out of 20 gauge sheet metal to fit the angle of the mounting tabs for holding them together. One end is pushed into the opening of the grill's top crosspiece and the other end is riveted to the tab. Epoxie is used on the joint and the connections. Just gluing the tabs has not held up over time.

yup I've used JB Weld just like phillip said, so far it 's held up well (on a newer grill). about to do it again... but wait a sec! if you're talking about gluing the Aluminum part... no dice. JB Weld says it'll work, but it DON'T!

speaking of grills (thread jack: sorry JOE BOB)

can I replace the steel rivets (the ones that connect the aluminum face to the steel brackets which bolt to the fenders) in my 69 chev grill with aluminum ones? or will I get more bi-metallic termites? AND anybody know if the grills in 69 (chev) had a portion of them painted black? mine seems to have had that done...
