Re: blazer seats and GMC grill

I might be interested in the grill. When you say the filler panel will only fit 67 & 68 what exactly do you mean? I'm new to these trucks but am trying to restore a 72 and my grille has a few dents in it. Actually from what I've seen in some LMC catalogs I think I actually have a 67 or 68 grille in mine now but I'm not sure what you mean by filler panel. I'd also like some better pictures if you could please. Specifically of the rust. Would you say the rust could be polished off with some steel wool?

Thanks. Please put me in line for the grill with bezels pending review and confirmation that it will work on our '72 and I need to really figure out what the filler panels is.

On our truck there is a chrome piece that's mounted/rivetted to the top of the grill and there are chrome trim pieces that wrap around the grill that mount to the front edges of the fenders. I'm pretty sure this is the piece you're talking about.

I was planning on doing away with those pieces when we re-paint. Might post this question in another forum as to whether or not this can be done. I have already noticed that the hood latch is attached to this piece so I know if I delete it I'll have to figure out some spacers or something to keep that hood latch in the right spot.

You need to keep that surround trim if you aren`t changing to a 67/68 grille. That`s why the top bar is 67/68-only.The grille itself is the same 68-70.

I`d like a shipping quote to 21771 or,if Greyhound,cost to Frederick,MD or Baltimore,MD.

Re: blazer seats and GMC grill

how much to ship the grill to 30907? How would you rate the finish 1-10 on the piece overall. The bumper will cover most of the bottom rail if that's where the most rust is.

OK, I've found out what I needed to know about whether or not the grill will work on my 72 so count me in. Just let me know what the total will be with shipping to 39114 and I'll send you a check. In fact I'll PM you my full address.
