factory AM/FM radio question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Did an am/fm radio use a different speaker or is it the same on an am radio? Thanks for any help.

To the best of my knowledge, the speakers were all the same.

I think they are the same, whatever you do make sure its a 10 ohm speaker because it will eventually fry the amp in the radio if you install anything less than 10 ohms. Most of the speakers that you buy now are 4 ohm. Doug
