another spid question
is there anything on the spid that shows if a truck was born a stepside? working on a Frankenstein truck and not sure how it started.

Yes, The Model number. It's different for GMC's and Chevys. Also GMC's differ from 67-69 and 70-72. Link in my sig will get you to a model number decoder for your year and make.

that link explains it.it used to be a lwb fleetside. now its a swb stepside. can anyone explain 4e81ab pickup box floor and4p13nb side mounted wheel?

E81 means the pickup box had a wood floor.
P13 is a mount in the pickup box for a spare tire.
