a few questions

1) what kind of gas milage is everyone getting? i know it depends on motor and many different things. i ask because i have always wanted an older truck but if i can get some where around 15 that would do me fine since i have a short drive to work.

2) how much is to much for a clean truck. i found a 1983 2wd short bed that is super clean with 60,000 original miles on it but the guy wants $6000 for it. i was wondering if it was worth it. what is a price that might be more reasonable if that is not a reaonable price

any ideas, opinions, thoughts would be great. thanks

Re: a few questions

Well first off welcome to the board from Western Colorado. As for gas mileage I get ten right now in my 79 heavy half, you can tune the carb and engine and get close to 15 or a little better; you’ll probably not get 20 or better. I only paid $500 for mine so $6000 seems high to me but I’m not sure.
