Another try at powder coating.
Some may remember the trouble I had with my first attempts at powder coating. I ordered more powder and put a moisture filter on my air supply and tried again. Looks good, jury is still out on whether it sticks any better.
What do ya'll think! Here is what they looked like before (bead blasted and washed in acetone)

Thanks guys, my motor is gonna look even shabbier if I don't paint it before I bolt them on! Looks like I need to get more done than I thought before I put the engine back in!

If you still have problems with it sticking you may want to sandblast instead of beadblasting....I have stuff powered coated all the time at work, and the coater we use blasts the metal till it is quite rough....kinda the texture of 180 grit sandpaper. The coating still comes out slick...Good Luck

Thanks for the tip, I am in the process of building a blasting cabinet. I'll try a coarser grit than what's in the cabinet I am borrowing.

Looks good! I have a little filter right on my powder gun that so far seems to work good. Id like to add another one inline though.

Those are rag's (cut up t-shirts) mostly.
![]() I have the inline filter on my gun, but being this is soggy Mississippi I decided to get one to put on my air line behind the reducer.

looks good, hope they hold up better. I second the sandblasting over the beadblasting. I have better luck with the rougher finish also. I've tried both ways, and the beadblasted ones turn out good too, just had some issues with durability. Still, great job.
