Sidetracked! What other projects are you working on? Pics!
I am a busy man, most likely due to a bad case of automotive A.D.D. Here are some of the other projects I got going.
1953 Studebaker Champion I just picked this up yesterday, I have been wanting one of these a loooong time. A '66 Dodge A100 Van.

I'm currently doing a 53 GMC Suburban 350 700r4
[IMG][/IMG] Picked this up last fall from my cousin. 1952 Hansen Lovebug. I figured it would be cool to pull behind my Sub to car shows.

Lessee...
limit it to car projects... limit it to car projects currently active.... limit it to car projects that are not maintenance related... limit it to car projects that are not someone else's... Ok, the '36 Plymouth is still apart. The new pistons are in and the pan is back on, but the head is still off because I need to remove intake / exhaust, side covers, and inspect valves and springs. The '99 Suburban 302 Chevy project is getting some tuning. And I'm heading outside now to rebuild the snow plow attaching straps on the '78 CJ7 before the Nor'easter arrives on Saturday. Wow! It almost seems like I've got nothing to do with a list that small. Just don't ask what didn't make it to this list. |

Hey Coach, did you sell one of these to someone in Arkansas? My wife just sent me a pic of one just like yours made from a Chevy stepside tailgate that she saw in an antique store she was checking out. Dude wanted $135 if you're interested. |

Re: Sidetracked! What other projects are you working on? Pics!
Hello, My name is Robert and I have automotive A D D.
The biggest progress holdup lately has been my so called daily driver that I am wrestling a transaxle back into. I hate working on front wheel drive cars and that is all I am saying on that one but it is eating time and money. My 71 GMC has a dead engine and I am getting ready to swap in the Cad 500 that has been waiting to go in it. I also picked up a 1931 Model A Victoria to go with the Flathead V8 and T-5 trans I have and it will be taking a lot of my cash and attention. It will be full fendered with 35 wires and hopefully be a timeless little hotrod when it's done. I've also got a lot of pieces collected to build a boat tail roadster that will resemble an old race car and hope to have it on the road by the end of the summer. It takes mostly time and not a lot of expense as the tires will probably be the most expensive part of that car. I've been collecting pieces for that car for the past 25 years as I find them. The whole concept of it is to have people think it is an old two seat race car out of the early 30's and not a hot rod. And then there is my sailboat that I need to do a bunch of work on to make it more comfortable to cruise on when the weather gets good. And I need to build a few more cannons for it. Fires 12 gage black powder blanks. And in my spare time------------

^^^^ ever turn that cannon on end and fire it? Speaking from experience as a young child, they will fly a few nieghborhoods over from the center of the street that its fired from

Re: Sidetracked! What other projects are you working on? Pics!
I seem to stay sidetracked pretty good. Next to trucks I have a thing for wagons. the blue and white one is a 55 dodge, that other ugly orphan is a 73 IH Travelall, and when I don't feel like putting gas in the dually I drive that ugly 78 gmc if i'm not working on it.
Once the 59 is daily driver quality again I'll start on the dodge. Well thats the plan anyway, but we all know how that goes... |

No that would be a bit dangerous. Mine is the one close to the camera that the guy in the brown ball cap and black shirt fired with the rubber mallet. My buddy got a good shot of my bald spot when I was in front of him taking a video. If you live in Everett that was us down at the marina last August.

Very neat toys, every one. I like them all. I don't have time, room, $$$, or energy for an extra project so I keep it to one at a time.
