Needing some pics please!
Hey all, can somebody post up some pics of the brackets on a SBC? I got a box of parts with my new project 85 Short Bed. The engine was torn down to only one head on it and not much else. I'm putting a new motor in it, and trying to figure out the alternator brackets, Power steering brackets and the a/c brackets. Thanks in advance! David

If it's all tore down, nows the perfect time to go GM style serpentine!

| What he said. Go to junk yard and pull serpentine off 88-95 (maybe later like through 99) v8 or 4.3 v6 chevy and switch to serpentine. You'll be glad you did. No slipping/squealing v-belts, and only one belt to deal with. Much better system, and a direct bolt on. Plus the brackets are lighter aluminum. Mike

Re: Needing some pics please!
Look for an 88-97 tbi 350 truck-easy to find and has everything you need for a swap. Then grab a set of AC hoses from a TBI 350 88-91 K5 or Suburban w/o rear AC and it's as easy as that!

Re: Needing some pics please!
Silverbear, THANKS FOR THE PICS!! That will help a lot.
Hey Bruce! I had to get out of Mempit, TN. Charlotte is MUCH, MUCH better. Hope things are going well for you. At least your back home in FLA. OTHERS, I just want to get this 85 running and driving right now. It's been sitting for about 5 years.... I'm sure I will have other issues to deal with. I want to have a driver that I mod as I go. My 90 Burb has the serp set-up, so I even have a chinese blue print This will happen later.
