How do you haul a cowl hood if you drive an Audi?

If it is cheap enough, you find a way! This just left our place and was headed for the interstate. Notice it is a convertible!

At least it was nice out today for driving with all the windows down. Too bad the box was too wide to figure out a way for top down driving.

It may have been "top down" driving by the time he got home.

Wow! I hope he didn't have to go a long way like that.

Re: How do you haul a cowl hood if you drive an Audi?

I think if I had money to own that car I'd have money to rent a truck just to haul a hood.

Well, that's my thinking. But my thinking would go on to say "Since you have money for the Audi and a truck rental you should have the money to fill the truck"

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: How do you haul a cowl hood if you drive an Audi?

My DD is a Camaro, I put a class 1 hitch on it and bought an Alumina trailer, works great for hauling light stuff, plus I use it to haul my dual sport to NY, drop the trailer and enjoy driving the back roads

Yeah, nothing wrong with a hitch. I'd have to have one on a car if I had one. I just can't be "that guy" you see going up the road with a mattress on the roof... Arms coming out every window holding it as the front half stands straight up in the wind and the strap is stretched out about to break, 4-way flashers on going as fast as everybody else

Saw a screen door just like that, once. Maybe the convertible is a rental or lease, and they'll just take it in with the top down.

Exactly the visual of when I hauled stuff before my truck. 16 ft ladders hanging out the back passengers side window and all. I once crammed a full size hot water heater in the back of a 2 door Civic as well.

Re: How do you haul a cowl hood if you drive an Audi?

Whoa, easy on the Audi’s. They’re good cars, I’m on my second wagon right now. It was my poor mans utility until I got my C20.
I actually abuse/overload the Audi more than my truck!

Something tells me you like the hood more than the rag top. Can't blame you, I'd never own an Audi
