Tire height?

Wondering what most people are going with as far as tire height on a lowered truck. Pics would be great, my 66 is in the paint shop, so can't mock up or measure. Will be lowered 4-6, and wanting to go with a simple 5-spoke 18" wheel. All help is appreciated!

Chris

Re: Tire height?

I used a 26.5'' tire with 5'' lowering. Not much clearance on the inners but not a big problem so far. Mine are 275/40/18's. You may be able to get up to 28'' but it's a guess....somewhere in that range.

Thanks, do you have a pic of the 26.5" setup? Just seems like most of the 18" tires I find are 26 or so. Didn't know if a 26 or 27 would look right or not.
