Nice Farm Truck
I dig the apparent originality of this truck; even the Patriotic scheme is Kool.
And of course the V-6! http://siouxcity.craigslist.org/cto/3421460174.html Are those battery boxes or steps on the ...ermmm...steps?

Re: Nice Farm Truck
thats pretty cool, I wonder if it has always been garaged like that?
If so that could be an incredible original unrestored find...

Re: Nice Farm Truck
Interesting how the cab seems to have a completely different cowl from the regular cab....does the LCF Chevy use the same style? I don't think that cab would transplant to a pickup?
Also, says it has a tag axle, which is different from a tandem axle......one of those axles must lift up and down.......and no driver, no differential, like a true tandem would have, it's only designed to carry load. most of those worked by air, but that says electric over hydraulic....never seen one before. Judging by the overspray on the tire, it hasn't been driven much since a repaint |

Re: Nice Farm Truck
I like the cowl extensions. They seem to carry out the door lines. Wonder if they'd look good on a c-10/c-30?

Re: Nice Farm Truck
No. They wouldn't carry the body line from the door into the hood. The reason these taper off the way they do is because that line is not carried into the hood like on the C-series trucks.

cowl is the same, it is just the cowl extentions that end, and taper in. chevy also did the lcf with the regular hood, just shorter. those cabs would require some modification, as the foot well is different to make room for the tire.

Re: Nice Farm Truck
I nabbed a 409 out of a LCF 65 similar to the yellow one.
I've only seen 2of the W cabs with the sloped nose.... Did a double take... I like them because there different, but they kinda looked pieced together Posted via Mobile Device |
