Check out this 50th I saw today!

It was at the car show in Amboy, IL Extremely clean, owned by a little old lady and her husband. It's been freshened up with new paint in original colors, the only non-stock items are the rear bumper, and the vintage tach on the steering column.

It's nice allright!

Wow it even has a smog pump. That's my kind of truck.

Some of the details in the cab don't look totally correct to me - The gold fabric on the bench seat and the carpet color. It's pretty nice otherwise.

You're right on the carpet Tom, it has been replaced, not sure on the seat, I think they may have reupholstered it as well (they're the original owners tho, it was an ordered truck)

The seat color is the same as all the other originals I've seen. There is one sitting in a field near me, with a vintage camper on it. It appears from the road to be hit in the left front fender, but it's 500 ft of the road, in tall weeds. When I have a little extra cash, I'm going to go look at it and see if it's available.

Looking at it again it appears to be a Custom not a CST from what I can tell. I think the CSTs' had ribbed vinyl inserts and the Customs had a cloth inserts. That's why it looked a little funny to me at first.

Also the heads of the mirrors should be white. That is a nice truck!

Wow, very nice pics i must say! My 68 is a Custom as well so this gives me loads of insight as to what she looked like sitting at the dealership! I don't think ill paint mine back to the Gold and Ivory that it used to be for along time but still this truck is awesome!

Nice truck. Now answer me this. Why does everybody love a stock truck, but so few want to keep them looking that way? Is it because it's easier to put on 20's than to locate the correct hubcaps? There are so few owners willing to take the effort which makes them truely unique!:p

What a beautiful truck. I'm not sure I would be willing to drive a truck that nice, but my truck - I can do anything with it and not worry about hurting it. Would I love to have that truck, you bet, just isn't practical for me.
