Re: wheel source...15x8 steel wheels

Sounds like my plan of stock piling 15x8 rallies in my garage might pay off after all.

I watch the local wrecking yards for a new truck to come in. When they do, (they park the ones that are about to go into the pick and pull in the parking lot) I buy the set form them for $40. Just keep your eyes open.

Re: wheel source...15x8 steel wheels

You want a series 14 0r 20 instead of the series 12. Wheel vintiques or maybe Stockton may have them...

pretty sure 87 down were outer nubs. 88 up 1/2 ton stuff went to the no nub style. with that said, the fronts for my truck are off of a 88 sub 1/2 ton...and they are outer nubs. go figure

88 Burb would use 87 down wheels...as the offsets are different between old and new body style (your burb is still "old").

Re: wheel source...15x8 steel wheels

I scored a pair of these 15x8 5-lug steels to modify.....are they worth selling before I cut the centers out for my F-85?

If they are that hard to come by, I'd rather trade them off for a 15x8 5x4.75 wheel.

Re: wheel source...15x8 steel wheels

I'm going to get a set of the wheel vintiques 15x8's for the back soon, and use the stocks up front...I have 15x7 and 15x8 rallys, and the more I look at them, the more i realize I don't like the little square holes all around the circumference.
