1970 K20 Parts Truck Value

I went and looked at a 1970 K20 tonight. The truck is rusted pretty badly rockers, bed and floors are all pretty rotted so it's too much of a project for me to take on. The guy wants 3k for it, but seems very negotiable on the price. What would this be worth as a parts truck? It has a 454 that was put in it at some point but sounds like the cam has wiped a lobe or something and is a 4 speed. It runs but definitely needs a ton of work so not sure it would be worth saving. Any thoughts on what drivetrain parts are worth? It has a set of tow hooks on it so I'm definitely buying those for a decent price.

I bought a k20 for parts for $100. But I couldn't part it out so now I drive it.

I would be interested in tag and title (and any other paperwork)if you part it out.

Walk away unless you are 100% got to have it there are a lot better deals out there.

Think that's what I'm going to do. I've bought and sold enough old cars I never would have considered his full asking price. I did offer to buy the tow hooks off of it and the guy was shocked at my offer. It was a good deal for me but definitely not a rip off for him. He had no clue what they were worth. Now hopefully he takes them off and sells them to me.
