I have a Eaton 3/4 ton Locker out of a 68 truck that a guy wants to buy from me. What is the value of these? Thanks

No idea on value, but I do know they are scarce.

Re: value of Eaton 3/4 locker
I believe the factory name for this is "no-spin". Maybe that will help you with googling it. I'm always on the lookout for one, but they're rarely around here...

Re: value of Eaton 3/4 locker
Yeah, it is listed on the options sheet at a "no spin" , maybe someone on here knows what it is worth.
thanks David

Re: value of Eaton 3/4 locker
It would depend on what ratio it is also. IMO, if its 4.11 complete pumpkin, it would easily be worth $150-250, if it is the 4.57, lucky to get $100.

Re: value of Eaton 3/4 locker
I would say anywhere between $350-650 depending on its condition.
I paid $150 from Bill for a regular 1/2 ton posi unit...I thought that was super cheap! You can find these everywhere... But yours is rare, so this should set the bar for your pricing. Good luck!

Re: value of Eaton 3/4 locker
They are pretty scarce... But if I found one for my H052, and it was just a used one that I had no idea about. Truthfully, I'd only pay a scrap price for it if came straight out of a junk axle. Meaning that I would have no idea about if it actually worked correctly...
Good trading fodder though!

Re: value of Eaton 3/4 locker
If they are in good shape thay can go for 100 to 500 dollars. I would not pay more than 150 dollars for one. Why, because you can take a No-Spin (Detroit Locker) from a newer GM 14 bolt full floater and install it and 14 bolt axles. In doing so you get 30 spline axles and a cheaper locker. The 14 bolt detroit fits right into the HO52/72 carrier. The axles may need a slight trim, I've forgotten how much if any.
Most guys think these lockers for the old axle are worth gold. They really are not. The old axles have 17 splines and are not as strong as the 14 bolts axle with 30 splines. So don't let anybody BS you that these things are worth a ton of money. You can buy a brand new Detroit Locker for a 14 bolt for 350 dollars. |

Re: value of Eaton 3/4 locker
I agree with Factorystock, gear ratio is an important factor if your selling complete. Some were even 5.14 ratio! $200-300 range seems to be pretty fair for one. Sharpie
