Question Need '84 K5 purchasing advice

My son and I are looking at an '84 K5 Blazer for him. It looks to be in pretty good shape and the owner is asking $1,500 for it. Are there any particular problem areas I should be looking at?

It does seem to have a ruxt problem at the bottom of the tailgate. It still looks ok from the outside but is very difficult to open and close.

All suggestions greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Look closely at the area where the tailgate hinges mount to the body...they tend to rust there....

I recently junked one that was gone in the pillar area behind the front seats. The lower seat belts were held on with only the carboard. It was also rusty in the rear cargo area side walls. Look real close at that tailgate mounting area.
