You Must See This Ebay Truck.......

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...spagenameZWDVW

at first i hated it, then i liked it, and then i hated it again and finally i decided i would never put the time into doing this to a truck but if i could have this truck for free i would take and put the finishing touches on it.

It's kinda like that old saying "A face only a mother could love".

The guy is probably a fabrication wiz, what I can't understand is why spend so much time and money to do something so "different" and just turn around and sell it????

Re: You Must See This Ebay Truck.......

Wow the proportion of the tall cab with the short front clip make me think FORD RANGER! That is beyond ugly. that is just wrong. I do think that style step side bed looks better on there than the 88-98 style everyone likes using. Still the original beds looked the best and still do. If he wanted a new GMC he should have just bought a new GMC. That is my opinion.

thats exactly the way I feel. If you want a new truck just buy one and not make a old one look somewhat like a new one??????

Re: You Must See This Ebay Truck.......

it just seems like it would take a crap load of work for something that really isnt that "off the wall". i mean it looks just like a slightly modified 2002..definately not a 68

Rather than convert a real 68' to a modern day look alike- I would rather see GM take a new truck and do a retro version!

I like the 'actualized' interior - because before that, it was merely a figment of his imagination.

"A" for effort, but it looks like it would have been easier to do a top swap and got the same look.

Re: You Must See This Ebay Truck.......

This brings us to another point. When one does a rodded/modded truck...it might work for the owner...but not for the "eyes of the beholder". I think sometimes it is harder to sell an extreme modded truck than one that is closer to stock. I guess it comes down to the finished product. I like the looks of our trucks as they came from the factory. Although slight modified trucks are ok. IMHO As has been said it is hard to make our trucks look ugly but some come awful close.

I think the bed looks better than the other later models people have been using.

It's like putting a square peg in a round hole. It just doesn't fit.
