Is the auction number correct? Here's the auction it pulled up when I pasted it into the search box on the Ebay site:

Re: Notice anything wrong with this add

they didn't even have 327s in '69. I think you're right. He doesn't know what he has and doesn't know vehicles too well. A 4spd automatic? What's that peddle on the left? Oh,you push that down with your foot and move that lever on the floor with your hand and the transmission automatically goes to another gear.

There aint no peddle on the left unless you are pushing the ebrake and there is no shifter on the floor either. It is a BB auto

The power steering setup is not from a truck so good chance the motor is not original.

I saw that too...probably a later model 454, and the alternator is on the wrong side

I don't believe it is a 44,xxxx mile truck either. If it had less than 50,000 on it it would be a lot cleaner than that. It still looks like a pretty solid truck and probably a pretty good buy at what he is asking depending on what it looks like underneath.

My point is the truck is supposed to be a 44,000 original mile truck and a 327 wasn't original.

Re: Notice anything wrong with this add

An interesting ad to follow.

I was told by a PO that a truck I was selling had a 350 which a prospective buyer pointed out was actually a 327....but I don't think I'd make the BB/SB mistake....

I don't think 1000 is high at all...but the reserve may be. Just look at the BB, and associated parts and you can part those items out for the 1000

I noticed a few things on the engine also. These trucks had a can on the fender to fill the power steering pump. "remote reservoir" it was called. I believe it was because the alt. should be on the drivers side also.
