Re: 3 speed manual drive shaft

Early non-syncro 3sp were 16 spline. All late and full-syncro 3sp were normal 27 spline.

Re: 3 speed manual drive shaft

th350 and 700r4/4l60 all share the same 27 spline yoke. IIRC the lengths may be different.

I'm pretty sure that isn't correct. Th350 and 200R4 share the 27 spline yoke, but the TH400, 700R4, and 4L60 all have a 32 spline yoke. 700R4 and 4L60 are identical in yoke, length, and mounting pad. TH350 and TH400 are different in length and yoke.

Basically, you can swap a TH350/200R4, I think you just have to move the mounting location, but the yoke and driveshaft can remain.

You can swap a TH400 for a 700R4 or 4L60, keep the yoke, but move the mount and shorten the driveshaft.

I've never heard of a 16 spline 'Glide, but obviously they exist. Why a 'Glide in a truck?
