Re: cowl induction hood scoops????
Like one on each side or one in the middle? If you put it in the middle youll have to cut the scoop to fit over the lip if im not mistaken.

Re: cowl induction hood scoops????
They do make cowl steel hoods. I have installed a few fiberglass scoops on a few steel hoods but I don't trust them to not crack later.

68 anniversary i know they make steel hoods but im cheap, do you just rivet it to the hood and then use fiberglass to bond it to the hood???

Maybe try a very sharp razor blade and then fine sand it down, i think itd look funny though when you see it specially when you see the lip going through.

Re: cowl induction hood scoops????
I would go to a place that sells Automotive paints. They have some new panel adhesives that might work. I have used a product called Druraglass as a finisher to blend the edges into the hood. The problem you run into is the hood still is somewhat flexible and vibrations and such cause eventual cracking. Back in the day those scoops were just rivited on drag car hoods.
