whats the value of a nv4500 4wd tranny?
Anyone got a typical idea of what a nv4500 tranny is worth from a 90's 4x4 Chev. And would a diesel one ( tranny) not work for our era? I think it should work as long as a 6.5 originally.
Lets say a value with clutch and flywheel and original bellhousing though it would be hydraulic style on opposite side necessary for a nv4500 swap like ryanroo. And what is it with my reading use a dodge bellhousing... does it bolt up to the chev block and tranny? Or does it only just have the correct side port hole for manual clutch linkage?.

The diesel nv4500 will work, I set up a 67 1/2 ton with a 454 and a nv4500 but after I was ready to install the tranny I found out my brother sold the tranny. I used the clutch stuff from the 93 I got the tranny from. I believe you can go to a parts store and order the whole hydro. assemble for about $150 dollars.

That trans was a Nv3500, which can be found cheap. They can't handle as much power and torque as the nv4500. But if you have a mild to stock engine a nv3500 would be a better chioce cause they are lighter than the nv4500 and a lot easier on the wallet.

That tranny just didn't look right....so I suspected something....he listed it as a 1999 1/2 ton 4x4 tranny. Maybe it was in the box.....someone might not be happy when they get it. That aint right....scam
