Truck Height drop question
I had a few questions to ask for my brothers truck. It is a 63 C10 shortbed fleet, and I was wondering what the stock ride height would be? He wants to lower it but not too low where he has to change a route just s he doesnt scrape anywhere. We have been discussing a 1'' front 3'' in back and also 2'' in front and 4'' in back. Im new to the lowering process. If anyone has pictures of either that would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks

Re: Truck Height drop question
Neither one of those would require changing a route I believe unless the route is offroad terrain maybe.

Re: Truck Height drop question
When I installed a 70 Surburban front end to get the disc brakes it lowered it about 1 inch and then I installed 2" lowering springs in the front also. The rear is leafs and at stock height. Doesn't bottom out anywhere I go.

Re: Truck Height drop question
I have a 4 inch drop in the front and a 6 inch drop in the rear..no problems under normal driving conditions. I dont haul anything in the bed either.

Re: Truck Height drop question
I wouldn't go over 5 in the rear. when I dropped mine 6 in the rear my axle would hit my frame rails if I went over a good size pot hole. Mine is a 62 so it might be different.
