Brought it home today!

Wanted to post a picture of the truck. Original 90k on the 307 speed. Rockers are toast, and need a tail gate. Excited to get to work, plans are to leave paint as is get it running as it was in a barn for 20 yrs. Luckily the previous owner drained the gas before putting it up. I am sure I will have a lot of questions as I get into it.

Re: Brought it home today!

Flashed that would be great! I have a question on the color someone could possibly answer, the info sticker states 514 Light Red, but the color looks more orange than red. When I look at the old PPG charts it shows 514 "Red", but does not list a "Light Red"

That would be the correct color for 514 Light Red. That is what my original '70 is.

Re: Brought it home today!

My 72 GMC is Medium Red 514. I've also seen it referred to as red/orange.

Re: Brought it home today!

Congrats! I love that feeling of just bringing something home. My wife usually doesn't see me until well after dark...
