Door latch problems
Iam having a hard time getting my door to shut tight. I have tried taken out and redoing the shims but nothing has worked, Im wondering if the latch just needs to be replaced. Any info would be greatly apperciated.

Re: Door latch problems
Not sure which shims you are referring to, but I adjusted mine by loosening the door bracket and tapping in until I got it to shut right.
Be aware that if you have a worn or torn rubber door seal it will affect the way it shuts. I had to readjust mine when I bought new push on seals from GMC Pauls. |

The striker (pictured above) could also be in "too far" and only letting the door close to the safety catch before it contacts the rubber seal.... LockDoc
