That's what I thought to when I first saw it but we lined it up to my clip(thats sitting on a spare frame)and the kids 67 and wouldn't ya know the headlites were dang near perfectly centered.

I had read that there really isn't much frame width difference from 63 to 87. The fell'a said he pulled it off a 77 k10.
It fits great so far. I'm just curious if anyone seen another like it or do I have a home made one off.

Harpie that good news.
It actually is just the perfect height and fit to a sloped 67/8 hood.
And just a tad shorter in height than a 69-72 hood.

To me that's great since I plan to put on a 71. I shouldn't be able too see too much of it from the drivers seat.

24hrs I'm still stoked I found a workable piece for the price simple thing to build but I couldnt buy the materials for the price I paid.

Re: any info on this grill/brush guard.

I'm a grill guard fan. Once my truck is running, I plan to put one on that I bought off of a member.

One you get it done, hit us with some pics.

Re: any info on this grill/brush guard.

somebody , as resently as a few days ago posted that they were going to reproduce one and sell it on this site. it was determined that there are at least 3 different brush guards available for these vehicles from this era. I am kind of interested in one my self from several other members. no movement there sadly. No body seems to like them on thier truck but once you show serious interest , cash in hand. they deside they aren't so bad looking after all. shipping is a deal breaker too. I like the looks of them, but with too many other external accessorries it can make the truck look like a puffer fish or a porcupine, that is with spot lite, big rear view mirrors tool box and all.

Re: any info on this grill/brush guard.

well guys thanks for the info.

mike eventually mine might look like a puffer fish

hooks, grill guard and a dump bed.

the bed looks wacked being all out of postion like that but you know the look kinda grew on me.
i am not going for nice or pretty on this truck(have the 67 for that) as it will be a rough bush beater work/hillbilly truck...fun and not worried about dents and scratches....and it will have a gun rack

i really wouldnt mind haveing a spot light but i really dont need it my hand held will work.

if this guard isnt nothing special i might weld some tabs to it for some lights.
thats way down the road though.

this is the mess of a truck it will be going on older pic as it is pretty much stripped rite now, i cant wait to get the fresh wheels and tires, motor, doors and front clip on it.

i'm leaving the back of the truck alone for now fix the lights and TAPE up the rust its a beat dump bed its just gonna get more beat up. the wrong tailgate is gonna match my theme i was thinkin on hingeing or pinning the tail gate at the top for dumping.
and i might build a rear window saver/guard.
