Well it's not a Chevy, it's a '91 Dakota but yours reminded me of mine, except i was doing 85+ in a 45 when i was 16 and right before a turn in the road, on a rainy day, i happened to look in my rear view and there was someone riding my @ss at 85+mph and he was so close i was afraid to brake.

I tried to make the turn but i slid off the road and over corrected and went into the ditch on the opposite side of the road, i flipped several times and then hit a mailbox an a giant slap of concrete protecting the ditch tunnel or whatever under the driveway and i came to a rest upside down in someone's driveway. the pics are after a big police Chevy crew cab Silverado pulled me over with a winch.

I walked away with a bump on the head and a gash in my left pinkie finger from the windshield crushing on the steering wheel. The headrest saved my life i'm sure.

It was still running when I got stopped. I hadda turn it off and the keys were gone...lol The tranny was screwed before the wreck. I never moved it again. I got my stuff from the tow yard and then the insurance company took it from there. i didnt keep the engine cuz i had no use for it, I forgot about grandads truck, the one I have now, or id have kept it for grandads truck.

Re: Wrecked your truck? post pics

I was on a 55mph road going 65, and this car pulled out in front of me way to close and didnt speed up, so i tried to go around them but i was too close and i lost it when i got around em. I didnt hit em though, and they just left me there. I got backwards and went off a 10-15 foot drop. it hit the right rear bumper first and started flipping. I went through a fire hydrant and a big fence and into a tree nursery flipping. Hell of a ride, I dont recommend it. Basically I tried doing maneuvers that truck shouldnt have been doing. Ill just hit em the next time. especially since they left me and the cops thought I just wrecked all by myself...lol

Re: Wrecked your truck? post pics

I also forgot my 78. Wrecked it like 2 years ago. thats why it got all fixed up haha!

I got hit in an intersection by a lexus going like 35 or so. she went up under it and barely missed rolling it over. hadda get new fender, door, hood, whole front end (suspension) pull out some of the bed side, new center caps. I was perfectly fine that time, not even a bump. I did notice (again) that while the intersection was crammed full of people, after we wrecked there wasn't a soul in sight except me and the lady... I stop to help people, so WTH!

It hit the front wheel and fender a lot, but i was moving too, so she made it from the front centercap all the way to the rear one.

Re: Wrecked your truck? post pics

On both of them yes.... the 87 already had frame damage but after this it was beyond repair. The 82 had some in the rear but it wasn't bad, it wasn't a direct hit to the frame it was mostly body damage as I slide up the nose of the other truck. I was able to bolt another bed on and drive it for years with no problem.

Yeah it happened to be an elderly woman who shouldn't have been driving, she fell asleep at the wheel. The frame was bent and a year later I got an 86

Re: Wrecked your truck? post pics

Yeah only thing that was trashed was the bedside passenger fender and cab, everything else was slapped back on did have to order a new headlamp bezel. Other than that all of its the same. If I ever need parts I got em in the back shed. And the good this was I got 2800 from the insurance and paid 900 for a straight body shortbed with motor and trans

Re: Wrecked your truck? post pics

So I took the opportunity to get rid of the chrome bumper and replace it with a paint to match bumper, Z71 valance (which I also painted to match) clear headlights and signals, and a paint to match grill instead of the chrome one. I also got rid of the fender flares and running boards and lowered it 2/3
