Parting '72 1/2ton 2wd Suburban
Going to get this burb tomorrow, I looked at it last week and made a deal on it today so here we go....Its dark olive and white exterior, custom deluxe with dark olive interior. I will take some pictures when I pick it up and post them tomorrow.
I will be using this for a crew cab build on my '71 3/4ton GMC so will be using the front body and front doors for that. It has front and rear A/C. The rear A/C cover seems to be ok but missing some vents. There are some box speakers are mounted on speaker brackets to the front of it. I think most of the headliner was there. There are rear seat armrests with the metal frames, not sure from which seat as they are just in there loose...$75 for those plus shipping. Rear A/C complete $400 plus shipping. Its hatch and tailgate, both seem to be average condition, $150 each plus shipping. It has the huge sheetmetal aftermarket large capacity fuel tank, unknown condition as it appears to have last been registered in 2004, $150 plus shipping. It has the upper trim just below the windows. Let me know what you need and put a price on what you want that is not listed for a starting point. |

Re: Parting '72 1/2ton 2wd Suburban
The wheeltubs look nice, no real dents noted and not rusty. I guess these are welded in? Can you confirm? If you can post a picture of how you need the tubs and gas filler cut out.

Re: Parting '72 1/2ton 2wd Suburban
If it has any of the circular plastic interior plugs that cover bolt/screw heads I will take them. Found on the upper inside of body near the windows and rear of body where the upper hatch mounts etc. Thanks!!!

Re: Parting '72 1/2ton 2wd Suburban
It does have the very rear shoulder belt plugs and the plugs for the rear door hinge holes. Dollar a plug plus small flat rate box?

Re: Parting '72 1/2ton 2wd Suburban
I am missing the one behind the drivers door. (long one) But would be interested in any of the burb specific ones. My others are in so-so condition. So anything from the front doors back. Driver quality is fine.

Re: Parting '72 1/2ton 2wd Suburban
If it's worth your time...I'd be interested in one of the headliner bows. One that has the chrome plastic piece still in good condition.
If you're interested, post some pics, let me know how much and I'll PM you my info for shipping. Thanks |

Re: Parting '72 1/2ton 2wd Suburban
I will remove that gate and weigh it tonight, shipping will not be cheap since its large and heavy, is bubble wrapped in a Styrofoam box and shipped via UPS ok for you? I am sure it will get there but unsure if that is enough to protect it to meet your needs.

Re: Parting '72 1/2ton 2wd Suburban
Shipping on the tailgate alone is $144 with insurance. The tailgate is much nicer than I expected. Since you are the only one that has expressed interest it is yours at that price for a day or so and then I will keep it and relist it at a higher price. I think the roof rack should fit in the box for very little extra shipping. Shipping will be at actual cost on this since it seems everytime I get a time and cost quote when I ship it it is a few bucks extra...

Re: Parting '72 1/2ton 2wd Suburban
The bows seem to be fine. I posted a picture of one. Will get a bettter pic posted. How about$20 for the part plus shipping which I guess will be in a triangle formed piece of cardboard? How do you remove them, just in case there is some trick to it
