I found a '67 short step-I guess I need another hole in my head.
I had some time to kill down at the in-laws farm today, so I was nosing around a little and found this hiding in the weeds:
  I asked my F-I-L about it and he said he'd picked it up a few years ago as a project then lost intrest. I could probably have it for hauling it off. It don't look like it's in toooooo bad a shape. Plain jane as any I've seen, but it does have the elusive factory shoulder belts.   But I think that's because it's an army brat:  I guess I'll offer him a couple hundred or so, just not to offend him. I'm without a driver, not that this is drivable, but I have a good motor and trans I just pulled out of my Panel. That and some glass and it looks like it could be on the road as a project-in-motion.

From what I can see it looks cool just like it sits. Some glass and a drive train and then drive the wheels off it.

A few more pictures:
Looks like a 250.  If I had to guess, I'd say that the US Army owned it first, then the Utah Air NG got ahold of it somehow. It seems to have markings from both.    The SPID sticker is blank.  It musta faded out being left open and open to the elements. The whole thing is a hornet's nest, and they were starting to get pretty upset with me, so I didn't take as good a look as I will next time I'm there. I'll have some hornet spray with me then. And a trailer, with any luck at all.

me likey!! she appears to be a good ol' government spec'ed rig. next time your out there, take a pic of the rims. just a curiosity...... some service trucks like that were delivered with interesting rim sizes.

Great patina, I would drop it and put some painted wheels on it that contrast the color, like orange or something, I think it would look killer with the old school look

Leave it like it is, put a big,big nitrous motor in it with some suspension mods and have a sleeper farm truck!!
