What kind of gear oil for differential??

I have a leak on my differential on my 71 c10 half ton. I'm gonna get around to switching out the gasket does anyone know what weight gear oil I would need and how much??

if you want to go with the best...go Royal Purple, but its pricey. gonna be 90 weight and take like 3 quarts if I remember right

No need for a gasket either... Just some black RTV on clean surfaces. I haven't used a diff cover gasket in over 20 years.
