Brake Booster
This may sound like a dumb quetion but how else will you learn if you dont ask? So here I go.
 Can you install a brake booster on drum brakes? Thanks |

Idid it to mine also and it makes a huge difference. I just had to buy the bracket from the wrecking yard and bought the booster at Napa!!

a booster and master set-up cost 127.00 at lee's auto supply local parts house here in town |

Cool. That just made it to the list. With any luck maybe in the top 10. Ragenrat does lees auto supply have a website. Also whats involved in swapping it from manual to booster?

I am about to do this myself. I picked up a drum/drum setup from a board member (bracket/rod/booster/mastercylinder). I'm thinking (hoping) there is enough play in the brake lines you can do the swap without actually disconecting them from the mastercylinder. Looks to me to be the same master on both power an manual with drums.

yes the master would be the same for power / manual brakes

Its a pretty easy addition, and you do not have to disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder or atleast I didn't have to. There is an extention wire that is needed for the brake light and I don't have one of those so if anybody has one I would be willing to purchase it.

Dinnut, you are probably going to have to adjust your brake light switch. It is a pain, and I made sure my two boys weren't around to learn any new words while I did this.
This is the easiest improvement I have done to my truck, I recommend it to everyone!

I am in the process of doing this right now. Seems to be pretty easy but am not sure.
I bought the stuff from a board member and it came with two brackets. Where do these things go? And where is the best place to hook up the vacuum, right behind the carb on the intake?

I am going to pull vacuum directly from the manifold behind the carb.
