71 front bumper help
I just recently purchased a truck with a 71 chevy c20 sitting on a 79 3/4 4x4 frame. It has what I believe to be a 79 bumper and brackets on it and would like to know how much different the mounts or brackets might be. I would like to put a 1971 bumper on it because I really can't figure out where another good spot to locate the turn signal/parking lights would be. Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Re: 71 front bumper help
thats where the turn signals are currently located, they just don't work and with the homemade pvc grille the P/O put in place I just can't tell how visible they will be. Good to hear you like them there, maybe I will just keep them where they are.

Re: 71 front bumper help
I have your solution. buy a new or used 69-70 front bumper It won't have the holes for the turn signals but it fits a 71 perfectly and you can leave your turn signals where they are. You may have to go back to the stock brackets, but they a very cheap at a wrecking yard.
