Rear Sway bar

I bought this 68 C-20 at an auto auction in WA for $175 a couple of years ago, was an Alaska truck, home made saddle tanks, leaf helpers, and this sway bar. The links hang on the helper springs with what seems to be non-custom hangers. It sure looks like it was a manufactured item. Anyone seen one of these before? Would like to get another for my panel. The 20 corners like a cart, but it can lead to chattering if not loaded!

This truck obviously had a big camper on it at one time. I wonder if this was something that one of the camper companies sold at the time (campers were the big item then, as Clark was the only Quality motor home then until FMC made theirs, and the Clark Cortez was $16,800! I had one). Or maybe it was a dealer supplied option, as this was no kludge job. Had to be mass produced. I have not been on the look-out for these on C-20's so I may have missed some in the junk yards, if they were fairly common.

Maybe dealer, and I can easily see camper makers doing it, but there is no listing in G.M.'s papers for it, and no one has shown (or mentioned) it being on an option sheet.

That's cool. I'd like to see that set-up in person.

It's not factory, probably an Addco sway bar, they would have been the ones back then that would have had that set up. As for the chattering, it's the overload springs slapping the contact area. LMC are the only ones I have found that have the rubber bumpers for them. I took mine off. Nice Bar
