Will '88-'91 spindles fit a '81 front end? (2 wheel drive)

I thought I read somewhere that the front spindles from a '88-'91 1/2 ton would fit onto a '81-'87 front suspension. Or are the ball joints different?

Any info appreciated!

Yup. Its true. My DJM 3" spindles were for 73-98

i have been told you have to have your arms modified.. they dont make 73-87 lift spindles anymore, but they sell 88-98.......

So they use the old style ball joint has the same taper as the newer ball joints?

Ooops, I meant dropped spindles. Sorry for the confusion.

i figured you did.. but why would drop be much different from lift? i think the taper is wrong....could be wrong though.
