Tranny Jack

Do you think this tranny jack will work for our trucks? My concern is that it isn't quite wide enough.

The specs are
Maximum capacity: 450 lbs.
Lift range: 7-1/4'' to 22-1/2''
Cradle size: 6-7/8'' x 13''
3'' non-marring swivel casters
2''W x 43''L nylon strap to secure the load
Works with any 1/2'' drive ratchet handle.
Overall dimensions: 16-1/2''L x 15-5/8''W x 8''H

Re: Tranny Jack

You shouldn't have any problems as long as your not working in dirt or grass with it. In the driveway or garage should be fine.

Re: Tranny Jack

My buddy made a flat plate out of scrap steel for a 350 turbo and mig welded washers around the perimeter to hold the shape of the pan. Just use a regular jack with it and it works fine. You could do the same for your type of tranny.

Re: Tranny Jack

I have the same one and used it to R & R my transfer case and turbo 350 in my 71. It is a very handy tool.
