Heater wiring...

A buddy on the hamb sent me a heater for my '55.2. I've got everything together I need to install it but don't know where the wires go. There's no info in the factory shop manual or wiring diagram. This is a factory heater with four wires coming off the blower motor. Help please!

Re: Heater wiring...

Must be a deluxe heater as the standard has 1 wire.
What colours are the wires?

Re: Heater wiring...

I'm gonna go get a pic and see what colors the wires are....Stand by....

But for now, there are two circular outlets (for the defrost I presume) and then a rectangular outlet (to blow on the floor/cab). A lever operates a flap to divert the air flow to the defrost or cab.

Re: Heater wiring...

The wires are black, green, red, and yellow. The blower motor and heater core is out at the moment just to clean everything up.

Here's a pic...

Re: Heater wiring...

Doesn't look like a 2nd series.
I believe the heater core should be rectangular in shape.
