Re: my paint job build thread

looking good buddy! are you gonna paint over the mirror and handle or tape them off? if your out of tape you can just put grease over them and wipe it off after you done. easy peasy!

i might just open a new thread and try to get every one to pick a rim that would look good on my truck cuz the rims i have now are pitted really bad and about the window i know it looks open for some reason but it isn't....cuz that windows weather stripping is messed up and i cant get the window to open lol

Re: my paint job build thread

I am really diggin the olive drab bumper Idea I think you should put a olive drab star on your hood like the WWII jeeps had and get some old .50 BMG ammo boxes in your bed for tool loxes mabey I don't know I think you are really onto something with the olive drab can you tell lol?

And I also like the idea of making another thread were people pick a wheel that would look good on your truck.

Re: my paint job build thread

I also really suggest investing in a gallon and half of John Deere Blitz Black paint it is flat black is a rust inhibitor and pretty heat resistent and the best part is a gallon and a half will run you about 40bucks at your local deere store. The flat black rattle can your using in about a year of the hot southern sun will become very chalky the blitz black won't its made to withstand the elements. Im sure one of your buddys has a compressor and a paint gun you can use if you don't have one yourself already and paint it with some better paint. You owe it to you and your truck and you'll save alotta greif. This is what I pained a buddys rat rod with and what most hotrodders are using on there "period rods"
