FS:1972 Chevy - Just like New (lots of pics)

I have customer that came in my shop the other day and he sat down and said , you fool around with a bunch of these old Chevy trucks i see and i was wondering if you migh help me sale mine ? I told him " sure " ,what ya got ? Boy , did i get blown away with what this man had in his garage . This is a "one owner " 1972 Chevy pickup truck, two wheel drive with only around 64,000 orginal miles and he bought it brand new from a local dealer in a connecting county . He had all the orginal documents and paper work when he bought it . Orginal wrap that the tire tools came in . The tire jack was in place and so was the orginal spare tire . Came with tilt wheel too . I rode in the old truck to take some picutres from him and it still has that stock smell if you know what i mean . Man , it was like taking a trip back in time . Made my day ! Everything was just like it came off the assembly line . All the markings are on the firewall and frame . No rust no where . Only thing that had been replaced that i seen was the exhaust . The mirror had fallen off the windshield too (pretty common) . But the mirror is in the glove box ,did i mention even the glove box was mint too ?!?! *L* I am posting this add for Mr.Witty ,so if ya'll have any questions , here is his phone numbers and his address along with his e-mail . Hes a pretty old gentleman , so , he said it would be better if you just called him if interested in his truck or had any questions about it . He's asking 13,900.00 OBO . I'm sure it would bring a good price to the right person or collector . Enjoy , i sure did !

Even the camper was in perfect shape .You'll notice in some of these pics i took a picture of the starter switch and he even put tape on and around the switch to keep from scratching anything . This guy has baby'ed this truck . Unmolested in anyway . Strickly stock .

That truck should be donated to a museum!

BTW, did I mention I was going to open a museum. Awesome truck - someone is going to get a great ride.

That is surely a real nice truck...but, sell him some stock hubcaps. Those caps are distracting to potential buyers who want 100% original and correct for that kind of money.

Absolutely awsome, that is the way I like to see them, I tdoesn't even look like it should have that many miles on it.
pickmup, I think that was the correct hubcaps they put on the highlander package. not the best looking one, I believe they used the same one on one of the cars

Actually, those are original hub caps. That`s what came on the 1/2t Highlanders.Came on Monte Carlos, too.Even the factory swapped car hub caps onto trucks.Just like the ol`boys.Something `bout those "old man" trucks. That thing is the little brother of my Highlander, color and all.

Dang, I always thought that the rockers and cab corners came rusted out from the factory, but I didn't see any rust on that one? are you sure it's all original? I could be wrong , I guess, cause growing up in west Texas, I always thought that armadillos were born dead beside the highway

Wow! That really is a special truck, then. The arm rests and cloth seats aren't even worn.
The Highlanders I have had did not come with hubcaps...a little rougher than that one, by a long shot
I believe that would be a good candidate for Barrett-Jackson's auction.

Too Much Money !!!

This truck is as nice as you are gonna find but the gentlemen sure wants all the money for it in my opinion. What happened to the good old days when you found stuff like this and could buy it at reasonable prices.
