Question ECE's 2.5" drop spindles with 1.5" drop leaf shackles ...

I know it sounds like a weird combo, but has anybody done it? If so, could you point me to some pics of the trucks stance?

I realise the 2.5/4 drop is more common and aesthetically pleasing, but it won't suit my needs.

I'm looking at ECE's front disc brake conversion with the 2.5" drop spindle. I want to lower the rear as well, however being that my truck will be used daily for work carrying a load, I want to keep the leaf springs. Unfortunately, for such duties, I believe ECE's 4" drop leafs to be too much of a drop. The stance will look great, but I'll lose too much compression to handle the loads I need to carry.

Whilst aesthetics aren't the driving force, I really don't want too much rake.

My only other option, as I see it, are the 3" drop leaf's from Western Chassis - but before committing I'd really like to see if images of the aforementioned ECE combo exist.

Cheers,
Russ

Here's my 71 with 2.5 spindle and 1" drop springs in the front with slightly worn out leafs in the back. Quite a rake but a drop shackle would have made it a bit more level. Can you just swap factory spindles in the front for the disc, then a drop shackle would level you out? I now have a flip in the back so 3.5/6 and its nice and level but probably too low for hauling all the time.

Awesome. Thanks for the images.

Looks good enough for me. Drop shackles it is!

Thanks again.
