Looks good. The wheels are a great fit. And just the right amount of color If they were chrome I think would look a little funny.

Those wheels look good in anything but a vette. They really look good on jettas/golfs.

Re: Vette Wheels on my 87

what about fitment do all vette wheels bolt on or do you have to buy adapters or spacers? remember imitation is the purest form of flattery!

Re: Vette Wheels on my 87

hey Travis, you don't have a stockpile of the no rub strip blazer rear bumpers do ya? I came to kville about 10 or 12 years ago and bought 5 of em from a parts store off of 640, dont remember the name. have either used all of em or traded them to buddies and cant find them any more. Just put the last one on this truck this summer and the cubards are bare.

Re: Vette Wheels on my 87

tvb and towbar, your black S10s are awesome! I love a lowered truck, and the black is a great look on the first gen S10s.

I just inherited my Dad's '89 S10 long bed. Very nice looking and great running truck, 4.3/700r4, chrome bumpers, sport wheels (steel spoke with beauty rings), bed liner.
It's PALE YELLOW (uck), his favorite car color, with tan interior in great shape.
Heading down with my son to pick it up in a few weeks.
As much as I like the custom look, I'll probably leave it as-is as a tribute to Dad and be reminded of him ever time I look at that yellow paint!

Re: Vette Wheels on my 87

I like digging in old threads. Don't know if you've been on this forum for awbiley and didn't stop to check. But you've had 11 years for the subdued yellow paint to grow on you, and the tan interior with it sounds nice. It seems that the right sort of silver and or black accents would make a rig look like that looks sharp even if the butterscotch or whatever wasn't your favorite flavor.
