The little vent next to the filler neck is for the filler tube vent. The one next to it is for the tank vent. You run a vent line with a brass filter up into the frame rail. The one on the other side of the tank is for the charcole cannister that sits up in the top front right corner of the truck, on the inside of the fender. As to installing the fuel sending unit, the easiest way to install it is to remove the metal ring on the tank first. BE SHURE THAT THE TOP SIDE REMAINS THE TOP SIDE.... Mark it if you have to. Then set the rubber "O" ring in the recessed spot that would be under the sending unit. Befor you set the sending unit in, I bend the grounding tab in about a 30deg. angle, then bend the part that the connector pushes onto in another 30 degrees. This will help with the instalation to follow. Slip the sending unit into the tank with the feed tube facing the filler side of the tank. The tube will look align with the groove molded in the tank under it. Then feed the lock ring over the sending unit untill it rests on top of it flat. Then you take the ring whitch you removed in the beginning, feed it on top of the whole works, and screw it back in place after you possition the lock ring with the little tabs next to the little protrusions on the top ring. Here is a picture of the sending unit installed. It is awfull small but it is as large as I can get it on this board. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
