need help with 68 grille
i started shaving the bowtie off my 68 grille today and ran into a problem. i have to remove the inner part of the grille to finish the weld properly. the piece is on there with bradds and i was wondering if i should weld it back on or use some kind of glue. the glue would also seal the gap between the two pieces. the grille trim will hold it on but i want the extra security. any advice will be very much appreciated.

If I understand what you said correctly...mine is riveted on and works good. When I reassemble it I'm going to rerivet it...now I'm starting to sound like a frog..

I dont really understand what are bradds? There is a grill moulding clip set you can buy new. Do you have any pics? I am also going to remove the bowtie from my 67 grill, I was just going to cut out the area where it jumps out a little bit for the bowtie sits and weld a patch following the rest of the line make sence? Kinda remove the square area that flat . hope I helped or can help. later Mario
