Need help
I have a 1971 chevy p/u with a 402 BB and i was wondering how to put an Alternator on it with a built in voltage regulator. The one I have on the truck now has an external voltage regulator. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Need help
cannot say i have done it on that particular engine truck combo. but with my 2 wire alt i just removed the external regulator and re wired it into the new alt using a harness built for the 85 alternator i installed. seems to work for me just fine i have no issues with the battery charge or voltage fluctuations.
this could be the complete wrong way to do it tho.
