Are you going to put on an OE stepside or fleet?

I would prefer step side, but I will take whatever I can get my hands on first.

Dude, that looks seriously 10,0000 times better with the correct wheel wells on it! Good photochop job!

I didn't know these trucks came with airbags

Lots of people don't like the bed due to the wheel arches. I think it looks ok, but it's not for me. IF you could put the wheel arch in AND elimiate the rear step area, I think that would look pretty cool.

Re: Pics of Z71 Bed on 67-72

He made the rear wheel well match the front one and he filled in the white spot that is at the bottom of the cab to the left of the door. It looks a lot better IMO.

Re: Pics of Z71 Bed on 67-72

lol i didnt even notice at 1st...i was expecting the usual slam and color change. wheel well change is nices, but would be kind of hard to pull off unless you had one made of fiberglass. and thanks for sanding my bodyfiller for me! I think the handles/lock were shaved too.

Z71 beds?

I like the look, the body lines match up nice, but I just don't like having two different wheel opening shapes

Re: Pics of Z71 Bed on 67-72

maybe something could be done to put a 88-98 wheel opening in the front? would be interesting to see anyway. for me it was a matter of my bed was junk, and this one was free!!! I did however fill the top bodyline between the 'glass and the steel bedrail

Re: Pics of Z71 Bed on 67-72

When I was younger I liked the idea of this type of bed swap, but now im not a huge fan of it. Just doesnt look right even with seeing the fender lips the same front to rear. What I would like to see done is a 2000 Silverado stepside bed on one of these old trucks. Of Course since it is fiberglass, rework it to match all the body lines and what not. Just my two cents.http://www.truckshopper.com/FL/f6789...s/13th0305.jpg

Re: Pics of Z71 Bed on 67-72

There was a truck on ebay I think about a year ago that had modified the front wheel wells to match the rear on the newer step side bed. It was done well, but just did not look right for the truck. The area from the top of the wheel well up looked to large and flat. I thought I saved the pics, but I must not have cause I can't find them. Sorry. There was a thread here though and maybe someone else has them.

I actually kind of like the way that looks, I would still rather have the original fenders though.

Re: Pics of Z71 Bed on 67-72

Z-71 is an off road package... not a step side or sprt side bed.
I too personally don't care for it, but, there are some fine examples of it.
